Estema-2015: How to reach a Heaven

Alif, lam, mim. Do the people think that they will be left to say, “We belive,” without being tried? We have surely tried those before them. Indeed, Allah will make evident the truthful, and He will make evident the liars.                       (Al Quran/Al-Ankabut 29: 1-3)

Maqbaratul Baqī’ (Arabic: مقبرة البقيع‎, The Baqi Cemetery) is a cemetery in Medina, present-day Saudi Arabia, located to the southeast of the Masjid al-Nabawi (The Prophet’s Mosque). The mosque is built where the Islamic prophet Muhammad used to live, and is currently buried. The cemetery is also known as Jannatul Baqi.

On 1 May 1925, the mausoleums in al-Baqi were destroyed by king Ibn Saud. In the same year, he also demolished the tombs of holy persons at Mualla Cemetery in Mecca where Muhammad’s first wife Khadijah, his grandfather and other ancestors are buried. This happened despite protests by the international Islamic community.[2]

Tombs and other constructions over graves in Saudi Arabia were destroyed as many of the devotees used to bow (Sijda) before many of the tombs which is Shirk in Islam. A Muslim will bow only in front of Allah because only he deserves it. Doing Sijda before any body and any grave of any one of the Islamic dignitaries even before the grave of Prophet (PBUH) is forbidden for a Muslim.

(Such cemeteries are the doors to enter the next world. Jannat (Heaven) means garden. Here cemeteries are named after Jannat. The man who will enter the Jannat, he will also to pass through this door i.e. the Barzakh the life of the grave.)

Estema 2015: How to reach a Heaven

To accommodate big number of participants now Estema is held twice. This year first time Estema was held from January 09 to 11 then second time Estema was due from January 16 to 18. This Estema is named ‘Biswa Estema’ i.e. World Congregation of Tabligue Zamat. There may be misconception. So, I like to clear it. It is not hajj like obligatory gatherings. It is voluntary one. Its only hajj like similarity is living under a big tent of Arafa, Mecca. But living in Arafa is a Farj i.e. obligatory hajj ritual that each pilgrim has to perform in the other hand joining Estema of Tabligue is never obligatory. Fact about Estema is any body can join there. It is voluntary learning and teaching process of Tabligue Zamat. So, those who know less about Islam and its rituals may join them to learn.

It was January 09. 2015. I went to the Estema moidan(Congregation field). Next two days also I was there for certain period. As I was not a regular participant I did not have any group. So, in the first day I was in the Khetta(area) of Sgt. Yakub with whom I served in the PAF and BAF. In the next day on Friday I was in the Khetta of another soldier Mr. Shahadot Hossain. By the by he also served in one of the Army unit, the 21 East Bengal Regiment where I served too. Now we all are retired. There  very old, young and retired like us from every area of Bangladesh gather in such congregation of Tabligue Zamat each year. In Bangladesh its venue is Tongi by the bank of river Turag. In India it is in Hazrat Nizam uddin near Delhi city and in Pakistan it is in Raibond near Lahore city. In many other countries of the world there are yearly such gatherings.

It is a religious congregation. For three days participants gather together and spend their time in listening Boyan(religious lectures) of religious dignitaries, Zikr, Talim, Dawat etc. religious amals (deeds). All are Ibadot in the religious language. Fact is this all the participants are voluntary learners from home and abroad. Most of them had little chance to learn Islam in their youth. However, there are many Alims also who join the said Zamat. They are given the leadership to teach religion of Islam and its rituals.

My intention here is not to talk about them but my intention is to discuss about the fundamental fact ‘death is must for all’. This is known to all but most of us ignore it. In the Estema of 2015 I attended few Zanaja i.e. the prayer for death. In Mekka and Medina I saw after  almost all regular prayers there were Zanaja.

I heard in the Boyan of Estema and else where the information of death, barzakh, next world, hell, heaven etc. To them the next world is superior to this temporal time i.e. Hyat-e-Jindigi. In the unending life of the next world there are Heavens and Hells. Righteous will enter Jannat/Behest i.e. Heaven and wrong doers will enter Jahannam/Nar/Dojukh i.e. Hell. They say heaven must be the mission of each Muslim.

Preaching of this group is nicely motivating. So, each year we see increasing participants. As, they do not talk about politics of the country or terrorism, there seen participants from all political groups. In the old age many government’s servicemen who are religious join this group to spend tension free life here and to get heaven in the next world. In my PAF and BAF life I saw many high ranking officers and Airmen of other ranks giving time to this group. Especially retired could give more time. In my PAF life I heard the Boyan of retired Air Commodore Dogar and first Bangali pilot in PAF Flt. Lt. Aziz with whom I had chance to talk in a zamat before his death. In my BAF life Group Captain Raj Masud, Wing Commander Rari, Gp. Capt. Kamal uddin and Air Marshall Jamal uddin were very energetic participants. They all talked to please Allah and looked forward to a distant heaven in the unknown space.  The first Air Ace of Jet fighter age Air Cdr (retd) Mahmud Alam and many others of Air Force who served during my time and still alive are very religious now and no doubt seeking Jannat from almighty Allah during their prayers and other Ibadat (RABBANA ATENA FID-DUNYA HASANATAO WA FIL AKHERATE HASANATAO WA KINA AZABAN NAR). There are many such supplications in the holy Quran and Hadith.

In various Islamic reports one Heaven is seen like a star from the other. In the next world one from a Jannat will be permitted to another Jannat. At that time travel will be by supernatural crafts Rof-rof. The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) visited Heavens by a super speedy conveyance Burak that was sent by Allah to take his last prophet (PBUH) to Arshe Muallah via Sidratul Muntaha and other places of the unknown universe above and around the earth. (The earth is also a heavenly body that is travelling in its specified  orbit around the sun.)

But, how one will reach his Heaven? For that no stair or aircraft or rocket is required! It is the righteous deeds of individuals what will help him to reach Jannat. It will have to be earned by the individuals. He must be pure believer of one Allah. He should perform all the rituals properly, obey all the good and shun all the evils declared by the creator Allah. At the end of life Malak al Maut i.e. angel Azrail will take the soul to proper place in his prescribed way what we are not told. Then after all the trials of Barzakh, Kiamot(Hasr), Judgement in the longest day on resurrection one will permitted to move. Then through pool sirat one will able to reach his abode Jannat or Jahannam or Araf.

The teaching of Islam is to enter Jannat a Muslim must follow the pillars of Islam i.e. Kalima (faith in only one creator Allah, Salat (five time prayer a day), Siam (fasting in the month of Ramadan), Hajj (Pilgrim to Mekka who have ability to go there) and Zakat (obligatory donation who have certain amount of money or other payable wealth such as gold, silver, cattle, crops etc.).

In the literature of Tbligue zamat to enter Jannat one must be a righteous Muslim. He must be a pure believer of Kalima. He must pray five times daily prayer in due time in the mosque with zamat. He must earn required Islamic knowledge and remember creator Allah in all conditions. He must help others (Muslims and all). All the Ibadot (Worship) must be done only for Allah. Gairullah i.e. any power except Allah must be rubbed off from the heart. Mystic sufis say to enter Jannat one should have patience in all types of afflictions. So, in some Islamic literature this is a way of Allah’s trial on Earth that ease the way of Jannat. About trial following hadith may be mentioned:

“The most afflicted among the people are the prophets, then the best, then the (next) best. A person is afflicted in accordance with his faith. If his faith is firm his affliction is intense. And if his faith is weak, his affliction is light. Indeed, a servant (of Allah) continues to be subjected to adversity until he walks among the people (on earth) free of sins.”           (as-Sahihah no 143, 144)

Above is taken from a work of Muhammad al-Jibaly where  he has written, “No one can escape from trial in this life, in al- Barzakh, or on the Day of Resurrection. A believer’s trials and affliction are light and temporal. Because of his faith, Allah protects him, lightens his load, and grants him patience, firmness, and submission that ease his affliction. On the other hand, the trial and affliction are hard and prolonged for a disbeliever or hypocrite.

Suffering and trials are, therefore, necessary for every soul-believer or disbeliever. A believer initially suffers in the first life, and is then granted the success of the first and last life. A disbeliever, on the other hand initially enjoys the pleasure, but ends up in pain and suffering.”

(About above mentioned Hadith we can cite example of two last but great prophet of Islam Prophet Isa (Jesus) and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon them). Both of them suffered great affliction what we come to know from the literatures of Christianity and Islam.)

Heaven In Islam – Part 1 of 2

Free from all Impurities
Paradise is free from all the impurities of this world. Eating and drinking in this life results in the need for excretion and its associated unpleasant odors. If a person drinks wine in this world, he loses his mind. Women in this world menstruate and give birth, which are sources of pain and hurt. Paradise is free from all of these discomforts: its people will not urinate, defecate, spit or suffer from catarrh. The wine of Paradise, as described by its Creator, is:

“Crystal-white, delicious to those who drink (thereof), free from intoxication, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom” (Quran 37:46-47)
The water of Paradise does not become brackish, and its milk never changes in flavor:

“… rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes …” (Quran 47:15)

How one will reach Jannat?

Now I am an old man. I do not know when my life will be concluded. My very dearest father and mother are among the death now. Long ago they left the world. On January 10, 2015 I lost one of my mother like women. I fervently pray to Allah to grant them and all deserving slaves of Allah his Jannat what he made for the righteous. May Allah forgive us all and give us a chance to follow him properly to enter His Heaven!

(For the above article I took the help of wikipedia and other sources of internet. You are also requested to visit to know further. Islamic texts will also help in this regard.)
